Warm Day in Panama

Had a first Great day hanging out in Panama. I headed to the Fishing Lodges office to grab a camera that I will have as a third backup while I am here for the month. I grabbed the Nikon D300s and a 50mm 1.4 lens and set off to Casco Viejo (older panama) and immediately found a place to eat.

For Lunch I had fresh calamari (the mini squid ones) and then had Sea Base stuffed with Jumbo Prawns covered in a mango sauce! It was very very good!

I have never shot with a D300s before, but thought it would be a fun chance to play with a bit of video for a while.  I have to say that I will not quit my Photography day job, but I did have a lot of fun playing around with the movie setting on the camera. I am excited to use it through out my month stay here and see what small videos I can come up with. The camera itself is very much like my Nikon D700, but in low light, the Nikon D300s can not keep up at all.

I have put together a preview of my first day hanging out in Casco Viejo, please don’t judge me on my camera SHAKE or lack of CONTENT!
