Gary and Shannon Wedding Samples

Gary and Shannon Wedding Samples

Gary and Shannon's Big day was held at the Brix Restaurant in Yale Town, Vancouver. We had a bit of rain to deal with, but here in Vancouver it could always be worse with the weather and I think we where very fortunate in the end with how the afternoon went.

We did a quick portrait session before we headed out to the Brix, where the ceremony was held. It was a great day and so much congrats to the both of you!

Check out some of their Wedding Samples!

Crankworx Endero

Crankworx Endero  I spent the day on "The Top of the World" On Whistler Mt. After 1 Gondola ride and a quick chair life up to the top, we were greeted with amazing views of the surrounding mountain ranges and some excellent talent on their bikes. Alterna Films was shooting some footage for GT Mountain Bikes and I tagged along to get some behind the scenes shots. Here are a couple of samples on the day! The Mountain Biking was extremely impressive and the lighting ended up being pretty amazing!

Prime Time!

Prime Time! I decided to Walk the Streets of Casco Viejo, panama; using only a 50mm 1.8 Prime Lens and an 85mm 1.8 Prime Lens. Prime lens street photography is actually hard, because you have to get close to your subject. I got caught snapping a couple of times. Casco Viejo, is an incredible place where old Spanish/French influence some together to create some amazing architecture.  There is a mix between the very rich and the very poor. Some buildings should be condemned, but you will see families living out of these boarded up houses; living in anything that is available.

Here are some shots from my explorations today. I am used to hiding behind a 70-200 2.8 or a 24-70 2.8 Lens, but today, I decided to just try my primes out and get over that horrible awkward feeling of taking a strangers picture!

Casco_Viejo_Panama2webIts hard to get up to someone with a Prime 50mm Lens. I am no longer able to hide behind my Zoom!
