Richie Outfitters Spa Day

Richie Outfitters Spa Day

It was that time of year again. Time for the Richie Camp to start getting some of their stock ready. A day of Shoeing, Hair Cuts and Nail Filing. The Horses and Mules looked pretty sharp by the end of their Spa Day.

On another note, I have decided that being a horse farrier is a whole lotta work! Huge respect for them!

These images where taken with a Nikon D600 and a Pentax 645z, Sigma 35mm 1.4 art, Sigma 50mm 1.4 art, Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8 and Pentax 645 35mm 3.5 Lens.

Pinas Bay 2015

Pinas Bay 2015

We fished December 2014 and Jan/Feb 2015 this year. The bite was sporadic at times through out the trips, but towards the end of Jan, fishing had really started to pick up.  We raised a lot of marlin, but there was  a bit of a finicky bite at times.

In total the Hooker Caught 20 Marlin, Raised 43 Marlin, Countless sailfish and LOTS & LOTS of Dorado (AKA: Green Hornets).

At the end of January, the Picaflor and the Hooker Caught around 17 Marlin between both boats in only 10 days...clearly the bite had taken off and it was almost bittersweet to have to pack up and head home at that point.

Here is a selection of images through out the trip. Blog 1 of 2 Posts!

After 20 min of trying to get this girl going again after she was tailed rapped, she just couldn't get going again.

Waterfalls and Sunsets

Waterfalls and Sunsets

Today in-between on and off again rain, I managed to snap some images up at Twin Falls, Up Country here in Maui. The waterfalls where super pretty, but you had to sneak around the tour groups in order to get clear pictures with out any people in them. At the end of our day, we headed back to my now favourite Ho'opkia Point to snap some sunset pictures. The clouds where super dark and stormy looking and sure enough a squall came rolling in and the wind and waves picked up in no second. Here are a selection of images from my Final day in Maui.
