Last week I traveled down to Salmon Idaho to visit with some friends and snapped some pics of Richie Outfitters Getting there stock all ready for the 2015 Spring Hunting Season.
So naturally this week, we headed down to the opposite side of Idaho to help Richie Outfitters get there Stock loaded up and Saddled Up and on there way out to Moose Creek, along the Selway River. The first night we camped over night, sleeping out under the stars; while the Stocked roamed free eating up grass and enjoying some freedom. That next morning I snapped some pics and said good bye to the Pack string as they started their 10 hour journey up the Selway River.
Here are some pics. Shot on a Pentax 645z and 35mm f3.5 lens with a Pentax 645 FA 80-160mm f4 lens as well.
The Pentax 645 A 35mm 3.5 lens is manual focus, thus a bit harder to hit your mark when trying to capture a moment, but I find if I have Live View on then I can use focus peaking to hit my mark and it really makes life a lot easier when trying to manual focus.
It was that time of year again. Time for the Richie Camp to start getting some of their stock ready. A day of Shoeing, Hair Cuts and Nail Filing. The Horses and Mules looked pretty sharp by the end of their Spa Day.
On another note, I have decided that being a horse farrier is a whole lotta work! Huge respect for them!
These images where taken with a Nikon D600 and a Pentax 645z, Sigma 35mm 1.4 art, Sigma 50mm 1.4 art, Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8 and Pentax 645 35mm 3.5 Lens.
I have put up a selection of images from Feb/March. A Mish Mash so to speak of the past couple of months. Everything from Texas to Montana! All images photographed on a Nikon D4s, 70-200, Sigma 50mm 1.4
So check out some of my Winter Mash Images!
Read MoreThe Sunset tonight in the Bitterroot was spectacular. Pebbles, the New Paster Mule and newest member of the Richardson family, seems like she is settling into her new life in Montana. I just couldn't resist snapping some shots of her. She really adds to the Pasture!
Photographs taken with a Nikon D4s, 14-24mm 2.8, 70-200 2.8 and Fujifilm X-E1, Zeiss, Touit lens.
