Wyoming Fall

Wyoming Fall

I packed up my camera bags and headed to Jackson Hole at the end of September. This was my 3rd time with the Jeff Clow Photo Tours and my second time in Jackson Hole. The fall leaves where just changing and we had some very beautiful skies, clouds and scenery. Not much wildlife to look at over the 4 days, but there was still lots of shooting to be had. Wyoming Fall's are incredibly beautiful and you get a different experience each time you go there.

Here is a selection of images from the tour.

Cameras used: Pentax 645z, 35mm and 80-160mm.

Nikon D800: 24-70, 70-200mm

Nikon D4s: Sigma 150-600mm Sport Lens.

Summer Update

Summer Update

Its been a while since my last post but there really hasn't been very many things to photograph in Montana. The Forrest Fire Smoke sat over us in the Bitterroot for 2 weeks or so. Like a thick dense fog you could barely see 1/2 a mile a times and 1 hour of air exposure was considered Extremely hazardous.  So here are some pictures before the Forrest Fire's started in August!

Images are shot on:Pentax 645z, 35mm f3.5 and Nikon D800, 17-35mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8

Wisdom Summer

Wisdom Summer

I packed up my Pentax 645z and headed to Wisdom yesterday. The winds where blowing, but the light was pretty good for the most part. I unfortunately forgot my tripod at home and found myself attempting to slow down my shutter to try and capture the movement of the grass, clouds and water.  I found out quickly however, that handholding a Medium Format camera at 1/6th of a second with the mirror locked up, proved to not be the best method.

Here are some images that I took yesterday evening. Its everything from Landscapes to horses to hiking in a burn area.

Equipment used:

-Pentax 645z

-Pentax 35mm f3.5

-Pentax 80-160mm f4

My attempt at a long exposure hand held. Not so easy with a Medium format camera!

And one more attempt at hand holding 1/6th of a sec!
