Montana Landscape

Montana Landscape

Here are some more shots from the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge, in Stevensville Montana. I managed to get a couple of Panos finished, but had to make them pretty small to fit them on the Blog.  The mountain shots are of the Sapphire Mountain Range, which is opposite the Bitterroot Mountain Range.

Lee Metcalf Photo Walk

Lee Metcalf Photo Walk

I often like to go out for a photo walk especially if I am in an area that might have some Bald Eagles present. I have a bit of a photo secret. My most favorite thing to photograph is Bald Eagles!!! I am not sure why, but capturing them is incredibly exciting and when ever I get a free chance, I love to get out there and photograph as many of them as I can find.

Walking through Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge, in Stevensville Montana, is absolutely beautiful. There are so many different species of birds and wildlife through out this massive Refuge. In the evenings there tends to be a lot more activity through in the park and you can just drive through and jump out with your camera when you see something. There is around 2 1/2 miles of Nature Trails as well, so its a great place to hike, walk or explore.

Here is the website for the Refuge: Lee Metcalf

These photographs where taken on a Nikon D600, 1.7X tele convertor and 300mm 2.8 lens. Also for the barn shots I used a Fujifilm XE-1 with Zeiss Touit 12mm 2.8 lens.

Baby Deaghlan

Baby Deaghlan

Yesterday I photographed Baby Deaghlan. Shannon's little guy is sure a happy man. Being 6 weeks old, he defiantly did not want to sleep for us, but he didn't mind having his picture taken a couple of times. Most of the images where take with natural light and a large white reflector. The images where shot with a Nikon D800, 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.4 Lens.

Check out some of the sample shots from the shoot!

Baby Taven

Baby Taven

Today I had the delight to Photograph Baby Taven. She is just 3 weeks old and looked pretty comfy during our shoot. It was not only great to catch up with Ashley, but it was wonderful to be able to photograph Taven for her.  When you set up to Photograph babies, you never really know how things are going to go down. In the end it really all depends on their mood. So after Taven got her fair share of food from Mom, she was a able to quickly feel asleep and I was able to start shooting. She was defiantly a Little Super Model!

Here are some samples from the Baby Portrait session.
